Below are the current Pacifica Synod Pulpit Supply Compensation Guidelines. Mileage reimbursements should be agreed upon prior to the pastor’s/deacon’s commute to the church location. It can either be reimbursed for the round-trip mileage at the current IRS rate (As of January 1, 2025, it is $.70 per mile), or an agreed upon amount between the congregation’s leadership and the supply pastor/deacon. Mileage can be predetermined using Google Maps or other Internet map services. It is recommended that congregations pay for a hotel room when needed.
