St.Timothy Infant Care and Preschool, Lakewood has an opening for a Preschool Director/Infant Care Teacher

Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the role of Preschool Director and Infant Care Teacher. This unique position involves splitting time between administrative duties and teaching responsibilities within our preschool program. The successful candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, strong organizational and leadership skills, and the ability to effectively balance administrative tasks with hands-on teaching.

Administrative Duties:

1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the preschool, ensuring compliance with all licensing requirements, safety regulations, and established policies and procedures.
2. Develop and implement administrative systems and procedures to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the preschool.
3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including student enrollment, attendance, and personnel files.
4. Conduct staff meetings, providing guidance and support to teachers.
5. Communicate regularly with parents, addressing any concerns or inquiries, and maintaining positive relationships with families.

Teaching Responsibilities:

1. Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that fosters the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child.
2. Conduct regular assessments and observations to track student progress and identify areas for improvement.
3. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to implement best teaching practices and curriculum.

Qualifications:

1. Fully qualified as an infant care teacher.
2. At least 3 semester units or the equivalent in administration or employee relations.
3. Relevant teaching experience in an infant care or preschool program.
4. Knowledge of early childhood education principles, best practices, and developmentally appropriate teaching methods.
5. Familiarity with local licensing regulations and requirements.
6. Proficiency in computer applications and educational software.
7. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
