A Practical Approach to Congregational Stewardship
Two Sessions: Sunday, April 11 and Sunday, April 25
5:00 to 6:15 p.m. PDT
What you will receive:
An inspiring as well as practical tool kit for designing a plan for year-round congregational stewardship.
Who should attend:
Ideally the Pastor and/or Deacon plus at least three persons from the church council and/or stewardship team. Additional members of the congregation are welcome. It’s important to attend as a Team, as there will be portions that have you working together.
Attendees will benefit from reading Chapters 4 and 5 of the book Ask, Thank, Tell by Charles Lane prior to the first session.
The Pacifica Synod will subsidize one-half of the $100 per congregation cost for this workshop, making the cost per Pacifica Synod congregation $50 (regardless of how many from your congregation you register!) Please note, while congregations from outside the Pacifica Synod may register, but will be responsible for the full $100 cost. The fee will be given to the New England Synod for their general ministry fund.

You will leave the two sessions with an outline of a year-round plan for your Church Council or Stewardship Team to use for the coming year.
How to register:
Follow this link to register ALL from your congregation as a group. Cost for these two workshops is $50 (Pacifica Synod congregations) for as many people as you would like to register. You will use Group Registration to register ALL from your congregation and pay on one invoice.
You will register a group name (Congregation name, city) and your contact person (who may/may not be an attendee). From that screen, you will then register EACH person by using the “Add Registrant” button before choosing “Complete Payment” to proceed to checkout, where you will pay one fee for the group either by credit card or a check sent to the synod office.

Information About the Presenters:
James Hazelwood currently serves as Bishop of the New England Synod. This event is based on his popular workshop for congregations in New England, which he developed to assist churches in Stewardship based on the book Ask, Thank, Tell. He is the author of the book Everyday Spirituality: Discover a Life of Hope, Meaning and Peace. He served in congregation based ministry for 25 years. He blogs and podcasts at www.jameshazelwood.net
Charles ‘Chick” Lane is the author of Ask, Thank, Tell, and with Grace Pomroy Embracing Stewardship and Reflections on Faith & Finances. He served in congregational ministry as well as in denominational leadership during his long career. His website is www.embracingstewardship.com.
